Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all voice lessons provided by Vocal Foundations. By booking a lesson, students agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

  • Students may cancel lessons at any time.

  • Cancellations with at least 24-hours notice: Lessons can be rescheduled (preferred) or refunded (See below for refund policy).

  • Cancellations with less than 24-hours notice: If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time, the full lesson fee will be charged. This is to cover the preparation and availability of the instructor, as the lesson time could have been allocated to another student.

  • If Vocal Foundations needs to cancel a lesson, a reschedule or full refund will be offered.

VIP 4-Lesson Package:

  • VIP clients must follow the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy and use their four pre-paid discounted sessions within 60 days of the first session. Any unused sessions after the 60-day period will expire and cannot be used.

Refund Policy:

Individual Pre-Paid Sessions:

  • Cancellations with less than 24-hours notice: The full lesson fee will be charged.

  • Refunds for individual pre-paid lessons (excluding VIP 4-lesson packages): Lesson can be refunded if a reschedule is not possible. Refunds will be issued by Vocal Foundations within 48 hours of cancellation.

VIP 4-Lesson Package:

  • Refunds for VIP 4-lesson packages:  A full refund will be issued if no lessons from the VIP 4-Lesson Package have commenced and cancellation is requested with at least 24 hours' notice. Once the first lesson has been conducted, refunds for the remaining sessions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

* Refunds under Australian Consumer Law must be provided if the service is not as described, not of acceptable quality, or not provided within a reasonable time frame.

Payment Processing:
Vocal Foundations uses STRIPE for secure payment processing. Stripe submits refunds to your bank immediately once issued. Depending on the bank's processing time, it can take anywhere from 5-10 business days to appear in your bank account. Refunds for cancellations are processed in accordance with our refund policy.

Prices:
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). Vocal Foundations is registered for GST. (ABN 99 739 765 942)

Health and Safety:
Students should inform the voice instructor of any relevant health concerns. Each student is responsible for their own vocal health.

Intellectual Property:
All lesson materials provided by Vocal Foundations, including worksheets, exercises, and recordings, are for personal use only and may not be shared, copied, or distributed. Recordings of lessons are strictly prohibited. However, individual exercises may be recorded with the permission of the coach at the time of the lesson.

Online Lessons and Technical Requirements:
For online lessons, students must have access to a reliable internet connection, Zoom, and any necessary equipment (microphone, headphones, etc.) to participate fully. It is the student's responsibility to test their equipment and connection before each session to ensure they are able to participate without issues. Refunds or rescheduling will not be provided if technical issues on the student's end prevent them from attending the lesson. If technical issues arise on Vocal Foundation's side, a reschedule or refund will be offered. Additionally, students should ensure they have a quiet, suitable environment for the lesson to minimise distractions and ensure a productive learning experience.

Students Under 18: Parental/Guardian Responsibility:
For students under 18, a parent or guardian must be present during the initial session. Parents/guardians should ensure the student has a quiet, suitable environment for the online lesson. Parents are also responsible for ensuring their child is equipped to engage fully in the lesson. Vocal Foundations coaches have a current and valid Working With Children check, and we follow the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations to ensure a safe environment for all young students. Amendments to Terms:
Vocal Foundations reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the website, and students will be notified of the updates in advance. It is the student's responsibility to review the terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.
