Are all your lessons Online Only?
Yes, all of our coaching sessions are conducted online via Zoom. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we transitioned our business entirely online, and during this time, we discovered the wonderful benefits and convenience of online lessons, both for us and for our clients. Today, we are able to connect with students across Australia and around the world. On rare occasions, in-person lessons may be arranged at the discretion of our vocal coaches, typically for one-off, specific training sessions.
Can I use another platform other than Zoom?
Zoom is our preferred platform because it offers superior sound quality and streamlined control. However, in rare cases—such as with clients in different parts of the world—we may use another platform if Zoom is not an option.
Online Lessons and Technical Requirements?
For our online lessons, students must have access to a reliable internet connection, Zoom, and any necessary equipment (microphone, headphones, etc.). It is the student's responsibility to test their equipment and connection before each session. For the best experience, we recommend using Zoom on a laptop or desktop computer. You can download Zoom for your computer here: https://zoom.us/download
Where do I find my Zoom Link?
Your Zoom link will be included in the booking confirmation email you receive after scheduling your lesson. You may wish to save the link for future sessions, as each coach has a designated link that remains the same for all future lessons. When connecting via Zoom, you will enter the "waiting room" until your coach is ready to begin. Please log in a minute or two before your session starts to ensure a smooth connection.
Music Playback During my Lesson?
As with all online lessons, you will need to provide your own music for playback on your side. This can include backing tracks saved on your device or accessed through YouTube. We recommend playing these tracks on a separate device, such as your phone, and connecting it to an external Bluetooth-compatible speaker for the best sound quality. And of course if you’re playing your own accompanying instrument live, you’ll need to be in the same room as your instrument.
